NEW YORK CITY, 24 July 2006. Kroll Inc., a global risk consulting company, has acquired Homeland Solutions LLC, a privately-held intelligence management consulting and analytical training company. Homeland Solutions develops and deploys counter-terrorism information-sharing networks used by U.S. law enforcement and intelligence communities.
"Homeland Solutions is a company with a track record of producing results for law enforcement organizations in the domestic war on terror," says Kroll's Security Group president Kelly McCann, a former Marine Corps special missions officer. "The addition of Homeland Solutions' intelligence training, management, and consulting capabilities enhances Kroll's portfolio of security services in an increasingly dynamic and complex threat environment."
Located in Wayne, Penn., and Washington, D.C., Homeland Solutions was founded in 2003 by a group of former senior military and government officials. The founders were responsible for the creation of the Joint Regional Information Exchange System (JRIES) and the Homeland Security Information Network (HSIN) currently used by the Defense Intelligence Agency and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, respectively.
Homeland Solutions consults with government and private sector clients on defining and adopting best practices to prevent, detect, and deter terrorist attacks.
Homeland Solutions will operate within Kroll's Security Group, which provides a suite of professional security services to government agencies and multinational organizations, including security management consulting, high-risk environment training, and protective services.
