BOSTON, 23 Oct. 2009. CSP Inc. (CSPI) in Billerica, Mass., is introducing 10 Gigabit Ethernet fabric support for its FastCluster 3000 VXS switch fabric systems to provide high-performance connectivity between the 3000 series FPGA and multicore processing nodes, as well as external 10 Gigabit Ethernet devices like data acquisition sensors, RAID disks, and rugged servers.

BOSTON, 23 Oct. 2009. CSP Inc. (CSPI) in Billerica, Mass., is introducing 10 Gigabit Ethernet fabric support for its FastCluster 3000 VXSswitch fabric systems to provide high-performance connectivity between the 3000 series FPGA and multicore processing nodes, as well as external 10 Gigabit Ethernet devices like data acquisition sensors, RAID disks, and rugged servers.

CSPI made the announcement this week at the MILCOM conference and trade show in Boston. The CSPI 3000 series VXS processing nodes implement the Myricom 10 Gigabit Ethernet chipset, and supports low-latency 10 Gigabit Ethernet, low-host-CPU load, and kernel bypass operation when configured with Myrinet Express over Ethernet (MXoE).

A rugged 10 Gigabit Ethernet 3000 series VXS cluster includes one or several 10 Gigabit Ethernet VXS passthrough modules (VXS--P14), each supporting 14 10 Gigabit Ethernet SPF-plus transceivers on the front panel and 14 XAUI connections on the VXS backplane.

A VXS-P14 module connects as many as seven payloads on the VXS backplane to the 10 Gigabit Ethernet switch fabric. For more information contact CSPI online at www.cspi.com.
