Small octal ARINC 429 avionics databus line receivers introduced by Holt for commercial and military avionics

MISSION VIEJO, Calif., 3 June 2010. Holt Integrated Circuits Inc. in Mission Viejo, Calif., is introducing the HI-8448PCx octal ARINC 429 avionics databus line receiver in a 7-by-7-millimeter QFN package and in a 38-pin plastic TSSOP (HI-8448PSx) package.

MISSION VIEJO, Calif., 3 June 2010. Holt Integrated Circuits Inc. in Mission Viejo, Calif., is introducing the HI-8448PCx octal ARINC 429 avionics databus line receiver in a 7-by-7-millimeter QFN package and in a 38-pin plastic TSSOP (HI-8448PSx) package.

Each receiver channel of these avionics databus IC’s for commercial avionics and military avionics applications will translate incoming ARINC 429 databus signals to TTL/CMOS-compatible digital outputs. Holt officials say these devices are among the world’s smallest octal ARINC 429 line receivers.

These devices operate from either a 5- or 3.3-volt power supply and have a common mode capability of plus-or-minus 5 volts with respect to ground. Different input resistance versions are available for external lightning protection to meet the requirements of DO-160F, Level 3, waveforms 3, 4, 5A, and 5B.
