HEDGE END, England, 10 Aug. 2010. Vero Technologies Ltd. in Hedge End, England, is introducing a printed circuit board terminal pin family with knurled or a 4-zone barbed pressfit design to ensure good electrical continuity in PTH board products and to resist rotation or withdrawal during use. Terminal pins are predominantly used during original board prototyping during development or for breadboarding modifications, extensions, or adaptations in existing board layouts.
Typically hand assembled into the PCB, they are an efficient low cost way of providing a selection of physical interconnect interfaces with single-sided, double-sided or multilayer printed circuit boards.
Available designs include ones to which leaded components can be soldered, mini wire-wrap sockets, headers and test points, all in single and double sided options. Also available are wire wrap pins with a 0.86 mm diagonal that are suitable for conventional standard and modified wrap techniques.
The Vero Technologies range are suitable for nominal 1.02-, 1.32-, or 1.45-millimeter hole diameters and includes versions suitable for use with any printed circuit board as well as designs specifically optimized for the company's Veroboard prototyping boards.
