LITLINGTON, England, 21 July 2011. Millimeter wave radar systems designers at Navtech Radar Ltd. in Ardington, England, needed radar tracking and display software for the company's security and surveillance radar systems for perimeter security, highway monitoring, and airport surface movement. They found their solution from Cambridge Pixel Ltd. in Litlington, England.Cambridge Pixel is supplying the company's SPx radar tracking and display software for Navtech Radar's security and surveillance radar applications. Navtech Radar engineers are choosing Cambridge Pixel's software because they needed an open-systems software-based radar tracking and display solution to replace Navtech's own system, company officials say.Navtech will use Cambridge Pixel's SPx-based software modules for target tracking and its RadarView software for configuration and maintenance of the radar system in Navtech's AdvanceGuard and ClearWay radar systems.
The SPx target tracking software is configurable for detection and tracking of aircraft, trains, vehicles, and personnel. The software receives video from the Navtech radars, and delivers output from the tracker into a custom control application across a network interface. Tracker output includes track reports with filtered position, speed, heading, and statistics.
