Department of Defense awards Raytheon contract to perform work on AIM-120D missile systems

TUCSON, Ariz., Jan. 27, 2012. The Department of Defense awarded Raytheon [NYSE:RTN] a $17 million cost-plus-fixed-fee contract to provide test integration of software to enhance the system performance of the AIM 120D missile.

TUCSON, Ariz., Jan. 27, 2012. The Department of Defense awarded Raytheon [NYSE:RTN] a $17 million cost-plus-fixed-fee contract to provide test integration of software to enhance the system performance of the AIM 120D missile.


The work will be performed in Tucson, Ariz. and is expected to be completed before 2014.

The AIM-120D missile is part of Raytheon's Advanced Medium-Range Air-to-Air Missile (AMRAAM) family. The AMRAAM family of missiles has been in production for over 20 years, and more than 16,000 AMRAAMs have been produced.
