'Intelligent systems' is replacing 'embedded systems' in branding and industry consciousness

Instead, industry is settling on a new description for board-level computers that control larger applications: "intelligent systems." The new term refers to advanced embedded computing systems that can make judgments on their own, rather than simply following orders.
