The Farnborough International Airshow is a much-anticipated global, biennial aviation event during which industry professionals gain insight into and access to the latest avionics technologies, as well as new civil and military aircraft. The last Farnborough International Airshow, held in July 2010, boasted 1,455 exhibitors from 40 countries, 120,000 attendees, and roughly $47 billion in business.
Excitement continues to build around the 2012 event, with Boeing’s 787 Dreamliner participating for the first time in the show’s flying displays. Boeing Defense executives also revealed that four U.S. Marine Corps. MV-22 Osprey arrived in the U.K. and will be on display at the Farnborough International Airshow and the Royal International Air Tattoomilitary airshow.
