X-ES introduces new 3U CompactPCI module to line of Intel Core i7 processor-based products

MIDDLETON, Wis., 14 July 2012. Extreme Engineering Solutions, an embedded computing company based in Middleton, Wis., has released the rugged XPedite7431 3U CompactPCI single board computer (SBC) that supports 2nd and 3rd generation Intel Core i7 processors. The XPedite7431 can be either conduction-cooled or air-cooled and features a dual- or quad-core processor and 8 GB of memory. Designed for military embedded systems and communications applications, the XPedite7431 is a fit for many different systems.
The XPedite7431 features an XMC interface with rare I/O and limited front-panel I/O support along with two 10/100/1000BASE-T ethernet ports, one HDMI/DVI-D video port, and one USB 2.0 port. The XPedite7431 supports Linux, Wind River VxWorks, and Green Hills INTEGRITY BSPs, as well as Microsoft Windows drivers. Other RTOS solutions may be used as well.
The two ethernet ports on the XPedite7431 are routed to J2 to provide additional system flexibility. The XPedite7431 can be configured as a system controller or as a peripheral.
