GMN Aerospace opens manufacturing center, signs contract of intent with Boeing
SEATTLE, 19 Nov. 2012. Officials from GMN Aerospace and The Boeing Company (NYSE:BA) commemorated the opening of a new manufacturing plant dedicated to aerospace with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and the signing of a new contract.
The new manufacturing cell, born of collaboration between GMN Aerospace and The Boeing Company, is intended to provide efficiencies that help to reduce delivery times and support Boeing's affordability goals.
"We have built a strong relationship with The Boeing Company but we realize that it is performance based and we only excel when we work together," says Carlo Mears, vice president of GMN Aerospace. "We must continue to improve our processes to provide value with quality products that are delivered on-time. These steps are part of a larger effort on the part of GMN Aerospace to support all of the Aerospace companies we serve."
