High-power Q-switched green laser for microelectronics manufacturing introduced by Newport

SANTA CLARA, Calif., 9 Jan. 2013. Newport Corp. in Santa Clara, Calif., is introducing the Spectra-Physics Pulseo 532-44 high-power Q-switched green laser for high speed microelectronics manufacturing applications.

SANTA CLARA, Calif., 9 Jan. 2013. Newport Corp. in Santa Clara, Calif., is introducing the Spectra-Physics Pulseo 532-44 high-power Q-switched green laser for high speed microelectronics manufacturing applications.

The Pulseo 532-44 features high average green power with stability, beam quality, pulse width, and reliability. The new laser is for high-speed, precision cutting and drilling of semiconductors, glass, electronic packages, printed circuit boards, ceramic substrates, and other microelectronics.

The Spectra-Physics Pulseo 532-44 features more than 44 Watts average 532-nanometer output power with short 30-nanosecond pulse widths for minimizing undesirable heat damage to the processed material and less than 3 percent pulse-to-pulse stability.
