Small manpackable UAV for military surveillance and reconnaissance introduced by Aeryon

The vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) system features an all-airframe and integrated design, Aeryon SkyRanger also provide touchscreen interface for navigation and camera control.

The SkyRanger small unmanned helicopter is for continuous eyes-on-target for situational awareness, operations in confined environments, and low-risk launch and retrieval without peripheral equipment. SkyRanger is suited for land and maritime military use including covert ISR, convoy and compound security, and ship boarding operations.

The SkyRanger provides as long as 50-minute endurance immediate pre-assembled deployment; folding design including battery and payload for powered standby; optics and networking including streaming dual EO to IR cameras and low-latency digital 256-bit encrypted network with extensible range beyond 5 kilometers.

The small UAV has an EO camera with 1,080-pixel resolution with high-definition H.264 video and still images; an infrared camera with 40-by-480-pixel H.264 video and still images.

The aircraft withstands winds 40-mile-per-hour sustained winds and 55-mile-per-hour gusts; is ruggedized and weather-sealed for extreme weather environments; and operates in temperatures from -22 to 122 degrees Fahrenheit.

The UAV's single-operator touchscreen interface offers point-and-click control and dynamic flight planning.
