PCI Express/104 video-processing module that codes two video streams introduced by Sensoray
TIGARD, Ore., 7 May 2013. Sensoray Co. in Tigard, Ore., is introducing the model 953-ET PCI Express/104 embedded computingvideo-processing module that codes two video streams from its composite video input and sends the streams out over the PCI-Express x1 link.
This extended-temperature, small-form-factor board is for video-processing applications where processor performance is critical, and that must capture several video sources, such as local and remote video surveillance and traffic monitoring, as well as digital video recording and streaming.
The board captures four channels of analog video and four channels of stereo/mono audio simultaneously. Each video channel captures an aggregate frame rate of 120 frames per second for NTSC or 100 frames per second for PAL. The model 953-ET compresses the A/V streams into MJPEG, MPEG-4, H.264, or MPEG-TS format for video, and with G.711 or AAC format for audio.
The video streams can be displayed on a monitor, saved on a storage device or streamed over an IP network. The model 953-ET also can perform as a 4-channel decoder, converting a compressed A/V stream into standard analog video and audio signals.
Seven transparency levels of overlay images can display on top of the composite video output, as well as up to 160 characters of text overlay for each channel prior to compression.
Sensoray provides SDKs for the model 953-ET that include drivers, programming examples and documentation, for both Windows and Linux operating systems.
