North American printed circuit board industry to see modest growth by year's end, IPC says
BANNOCKBURN, Ill., 11 Aug. 2013. Printed circuit board production in the U.S. and Canada should see a return to modest growth by the end of 2013, say analysts at IPC - Association Connecting Electronics Industries in Bannockburn, Ill.
The modest growth is expected to continue through 2016, not just for North America, but also for world circuit board production as a whole, analysts say, in the recently released annual survey entitled 2012-2013 Analysis and Forecast for the PCB Industry in North America.
The survey-based study, which provides a overview of the market and business of circuit board manufacturing, contains current data and analysis covering rigid circuit boards and flexible circuits separately, including:
-- market size;
-- sales growth;
-- sales by product type and by vertical markets;
-- product mix (high-volume vs. quick-turn vs. prototype);
-- revenue trends from value-added services;
-- layer counts;
-- material trends;
-- trends in spending on labor and research;
-- revenue per employee; and
-- U.S. imports and exports.
