Rugged instrument case for computers, test gear, and medical devices introduced by Elma

FREMONT, Calif., 15 Oct. 2013. Elma Electronic Inc. in Fremont, Calif., is introducing the Type 15i instrument case for specialty test & measurement instruments; lab and field service instruments; medical devices such as blood analyzers; and specialty computers.
The case is scalable in all three dimensions, while offering designers custom-sized enclosures in relatively small volumes. The enclosure can be sized to house instruments or small portable devices.
The Type 15i has aluminum bottom, and single-piece aluminum front and rear panels for access to the inside of the case. The die-cast zinc corners that round off the edges hide all of the assembly hardware.
The case uses tooled components to tailor the case size. The bottom panel doubles as the mounting surface. can be EMC shielded, accepts Type 15 accessory hardware such as front handles, portable handles, desktop feet and card mounting accessories, and is available in several colors.
