Fanless 800-Watt power supply for avionics, military, and missile uses introduced by Gaia
LE HAILLAN, France, 29 Sept. 2013. Gaia Converter in Le Haillan, France, is introducing the GPACK family of configurable integrated power supplies for avionics, aerospace, military, and missile applications. The GPACK is able to deliver as much as 800 Watts without a fan in 24 - 28 volts DC.
With input voltage ranges of 9 to 45 volts or 16 to 80 volts, the GPACK is an all-in-one, EMI, MIL-STD-461, DO-160, and transient MIL-STD-704 or MIL-STD-1275 reverse polarity protected, single- or multi-output power supply.
The GPACK is configurable with as many as four independent output lines of 3.3, 5, 12, 15 and 28 volts. Each can deliver as much as 200 Watts that can be serialized or parallelized and independently trimmed by the user.
The four output lines can be sequenced independently with remote on/off during the start-up phase or with a general on/off function. Each output has under voltage lockout, over voltage protection, current limit, and over temperature protection. All are permanently short circuit proof.
The GPACK also features an internal hold-up capability that can be enhanced with an external battery bus for additional backup potential.
The flange-based, fanless enclosure has uniquely compact overall dimensions of 200 by 100 by 60 millimeters, and the GPACK delivers its 800 Watts of power with a baseplate temperature to 85 degrees Celsius. For applications requiring higher power levels, GPACKs can be configured in arrays with box-to-box current sharing.
