RF directional coupler for broadband EW, switch-matrix, test systems introduced by KRYTAR
SUNNYVALE, Calif., 16 Sept. 2013.RF and microwave specialist KRYTAR Inc. in Sunnyvale, Calif., is introducing the model 104020030 directional coupler for broadband electronic warfare (EW) systems, complex switch-matrix applications, and test and measurement uses.
The directional coupler operates at frequencies from 4 to 20 GHz, offers nominal coupling of 30 decibels, and can be manufactured to meet military specifications. Stripline designs offer low insertion loss, high directivity, and tight coupling.
The directional coupler lends itself to emerging wireless ultra-broadband designs and many test and measurement applications. The coupler offers frequency sensitivity of plus-or-minus 0.7 decibels.
Directivity is more than 15 decibels. The coupler exhibits insertion loss of less than 0.6 decibels across the frequency range including coupled power. Maximum VSWR at any port is 1.35, input power rating is 20 Watts average and 3 kilowatts peak.
The device operates in temperatures from -54 to 85 degrees Celsius, and measures 1.4 by 0.4 by 0.66 inches. With the standard SMA female or optional SMA male connectors the coupler weighs one ounce.
