Multi-purpose stripline directional couplers for EW, SATCOM, and radar introduced by KRYTAR
SUNNYVALE, Calif., 24 Dec. 2014. KRYTAR Inc. in Sunnyvale, Calif., is introducing the model 120430 and model 120730 multi-purpose stripline directional couplers for narrowband RF and microwave applications in electronic warfare (EW), commercial wireless, satellite communications (SATCOM), radar, signal monitoring and measurement, antenna beam forming, and electro-magnetic compatibility (EMC) testing.
The model 120430 covers the 4.0 to 12.4 GHz frequency band, while model 120730 covers the 7.0 to 12.4 GHz frequency band. These couplers are for space-restricted systems applications where external leveling, precise monitoring, signal mixing or swept transmission and reflection measurements are required.
KRYTAR's compact and lightweight directional couplers offer nominal coupling (with respect to output) of 30 dB, plus-or-minus 1.0 dB and frequency sensitivity of plus-or-minus 0.30 dB.
Each directional coupler exhibits insertion loss (including coupled power) of less than 0.50 dB, directivity of 15 dB, maximum VSWR (any port) is 1.35, input power rating is 20 Watts average and 3 kilowatts peak.
The directional couplers come with industry-standard 2.4-millimeter SMA female connectors. The compact packages measure 1.4 inches long by 0.4 inches wide by 0.66 inches high, and weigh one ounce. Operating temperature is -54 to 85-degree Celsius. The directional couplers can be manufactured to meet military specifications.
