Upgraded Blue Sky Networks asset-tracking software has SMS and email formatting improvements
LA JOLLA, Calif., 16 Feb. 2015. Blue Sky Network (BSN) in La Jolla, Calif., is introducing upgrades to the company's SkyRouter’s Alert Notification system for tracking aircraft and other assets by satellite.
SkyRouter is BSN's cloud-based web portal and mapping solution, which communicates with remote devices over the Iridium satellite network. It provides a secure interface for tracking, managing, and communicating with globally dispersed assets in real-time.
Upgrades involve SMS support, email subject formatting, alert information, and alert preview.
SMS support involves event notifications that can be sent globally via SMS from SkyRouter to cellular phones on any networks. Customizable email subject formatting involves email subject that are no longer hard-coded to a specific format, but that instead are customizable to include properties from the event.

Alert information contains information that the device sends to SkyRouter during an event. The users have the ability to change the Alert content forwarded on from SkyRouter to enable recipients to see details about the asset and the event.
