MISSION VIEJO, Calif., 9 April 2015. Holt Integrated Circuits in Mission Viejo, Calif., is introducing the HI-2579CG 3.3-volt MIL-STD-1553/1760 dual avionics transceiver for applications using cards with component height restrictions like PMC and XMC.

The HI-2579CG has integrated dual transformers, and is smaller than 4.6 millimeters when mounted. It is hermetically sealed on a ceramic LCC substrate and dual transformers are mounted in the same package.

The ceramic substrate allows extended-temperature operation from -55 to 125 degrees Celsius and achieves moisture sensitivity level (MSL) 1.

The product is for use specifically with MIL-STD-1553/1760 field-programmable gate array (FPGA) designs, and provides a one-component solution to interface an FPGA with a dual-redundant MIL-STD-1553 bus.
