BLUE BELL, Pa., 30 April 2015. MEN Micro in Blue Bell, Pa., is introducing the NH30 29-Gigabit Ethernet switch for use in trains, mass transit, and industrial environments. The switch offers carrier grade Layer 2 and Layer 3 VLAN routing capabilities.
The pre-configured CompactPCI Serial NH30 comes in a half 19-inch format and has redundant power supplies, Power Over Ethernet Plus (PoE+) support, and self-monitoring.
The device provides configuration options for use in several harsh and mobile applications. The NH30 supports 25 ports at the front. The system can be configured with as may as six line cards as active or passive copper connections or as SFP interfaces. In addition, the ports have PoE+ to enable the connection of different devices with a maximum of 60 Watts.
Pre-installed carrier-grade, managed firmware from Vitesse supports standard ring and protection switching/ring protocols. The switch has self-control and self-monitoring capabilities, and manages lifetime information about critical operating components, and can be used for manual shutdown.
For security and monitoring purposes, the shelf controller data is available via network interfaces and CLI. For more information contact MEN Micro online at www.menmicro.com.
