1200-Watt power electronics inverter for shipboard and aircraft uses introduced by Behlman
HAUPPAUGE, N.Y., 24 Aug. 2016.Power electronics experts at Behlman Electronics Inc. in Hauppauge, N.Y., has increased the electrical output of the company's INV-1200 inverter to 1200 Watts at 55 degrees Celsius with no de-rating for military shipboard, airborne, and mobile applications.
In addition, when including Option D1 or A1 (AC bypass and alarms), the transfer time is less than 30 milliseconds.
The new, more powerful Behlman INV-1200 Gen 2 DC to AC inverter delivers 1200 Watts of clean, regulated AC power in a 3.5-inch 2U rack-mount chassis.

In the past, Behlman rated the power output of the INV-1200 inverter as 1200 volt-amperes, which required some users to do the math to come up with output Watts. Now, with the new INV-1200 Gen 2 inverters, there is a 25 percent increase in output power.
Other features of the upgraded INV-1200 inverter include sine wave output; low total harmonic distortion; overload protection; line and load regulation; short circuit and thermal protection; optional bypass with alarms; and LEDs for DC in and inverter OK.
