Rugged Ethernet switches for harsh-environment military applications introduced by Nova
ST. CLOUD, Fla. – Nova Integration Solutions in St. Cloud, Fla., is introducing the 5100 class ruggedEthernet switches for military applications in harsh operating conditions.
The 5100 class contains standard ruggedized COTS Ethernet switches that for ease of use, integration, and training use proven and well documented switches from manufacturers such as Netgear, Ubiquiti, and Cisco that are integrated into sealed military-grade enclosures.
Prior to integration, the COTS switches are subjected to a proprietary ruggedization process. Currently 14 standard models exist and range from 8 ports to 24 ports. Products range from small-to-medium business and enterprise class, unmanaged and managed, power over Ethernet and non-power over Ethernet.
All enclosures are conduction cooled, sealed, and are available in table-top, rack-mounting or shock-tray-mount configurations. Internal components are all military-grade including Teflon wires, shielded cables, military circular connectors, MIL-STD-461 compliant EMI filter and power system.
