Software engineers at Lynx Real-Time Systems Inc. of San Jose, Calif., have altered their LynxOS real-time operating system to support the Intel Pentium microprocessor. Lynx users now can use LynxOS to develop hot-swap applications for VME and CompactPCI single-board systems based on the Pentium family of microprocessors.
