Lynx OS real-time system to support Pentium microprocessors

Software engineers at Lynx Real-Time Systems Inc. of San Jose, Calif., have altered their LynxOS real-time operating system to support the Intel Pentium microprocessor. Lynx users now can use LynxOS to develop hot-swap applications for VME and CompactPCI single-board systems based on the Pentium family of microprocessors. Hot-swap is of particular interest designers of military systems and commercial telecommunications. The Lynx operating system supports the Intel Pentium, Pentium II, and Celeron processors.
