Specialised Imaging Ltd. in Tring, England, is launching the SIM Multi-Channel Framing Camera with ultra-high-resolution image intensifiers for high-speed spatial and temporal analysis of transient events. The SIM provides the choice of 4, 6, 8, or even 16 separate optical channels. Specialised Imaging also offers the SIR2-a high-speed camera that offers true double imaging capability. The rigid all-metal IP54-rated construction of the compact SIR2 lends it to the typically harsh environment of the military test range. The imaging engine of the SIR2 takes 11-million-pixel images, and can acquire two full-resolution images for information on displacement and velocity for ballistics, detonics, and impact studies.
