CMC Electronics in Saint-Laurent, Quebec, is offering the IntegriFlight CMA-5024 aviation global positioning system (GPS) receiver, which has received federal certification in the United States and Canada for GPS-based aircraft instrument landings. The GPS-based landing system has received approval from the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in Washington and from Transport Canada in Ottawa to TSO-C145b Beta-3–the most stringent category for Wide Area Augmentation System (AAAS) navigation receivers. The CMA-5024 also was certified in the U.S. and Canada to TSO-146 Delta-4, which allows these receivers to provide precision approach guidance signals to the aircraft’s autopilot and instrument displays to do localizer precision with vertical (LPV) landing approaches. The device is for retrofit and adaptability to either existing or new aircraft, from helicopters and business jets to commercial air transport jets. The receiver has a predicted 40,000-hour mean-time-between-failures. For more information, visit CMC Electronics online at www.cmcelectronics.ca.
