Darim Vision introduces wearable security camera with local recording, WiFi transmission
PLEASANTON, Calif.–Darim Vision in Pleasanton, Calif., is launching the PVE400 Portable video encoder/streamer wearable security camera, which offers black-box-type archiving and wireless/IP transmission of video, audio, and GPS tracking capabilities. The new PVE combines WiFi streaming and local recording to a flash card.
Real-time broadcasting for “point-of-view” situational awareness can be critical in many environments, from surveillance to inspection under extreme conditions; yet, networks cannot be relied upon to be 100-percent failsafe. Combining local recording with wireless transmission delivers a layer of redundancy, with the assurance that the entire event can be documented.
The device, ruggedized to withstand harsh conditions, is being used worldwide by the military, SWAT teams, and special-event security, reveals a company representative. It is often deployed in remote surveillance applications, such as airport, oil rig, and mining inspection operations.
The compact MPEG-4 IP camera is a wearable unit supporting field-operational features such as auto-locking/quick-release interfaces, aluminum rugged encasement, waterproof bullet-head camera, and replaceable lithium-ion battery, specifically designed to meet the needs of harsh environments or critical/emergency response teams.
The PVE400 can be managed and monitored from an Incident Response Command Post or from a Central Operations Control Center, delivering real-time video, audio, and GPS information from outdoor environments. For more information contact Darim Vision online at www.darim.com.
