PCI Express bus interface board for military embedded computing introduced by Acromag
WIXOM, Mich. – Acromag in Wixom, Mich., is introducing the AP471 AcroPack series PCI Express bus interface board for military and aerospace embedded computing applications, scientific development labs, and automation applications.
The board plugs into AcroPack PCI Express, VPX, and XMC carriers for embedded computing applications running on Linux, Windows, or VxWorks operating systems.
The AP471 offers 48 general-purpose, bidirectional I/O points to monitor and control many digital devices. Inputs and outputs of the AP471 are CMOS and TTL compatible.
Programmable polarity event interrupts are software programmable for change-of-state, positive or negative input level switches on all 48 channels. For safety, outputs go to a failsafe state on power-up or reset without any instantaneous toggling to prevent false alarms.

A down-facing plug-in 100-pin connector ensures a secure connection for the I/O without any cabling. Acromag offers C software libraries for Windows, Linux, and VxWorks systems.
The libraries provide generic routines, including source code, to handle reads, writes, interrupts, and other functions. Demonstration programs enable the developer to exercise the I/O modules quickly before attaching the routines to the application program.
This COTS line of AcroPacks are SWaP-C optimized and RoHS compliant. For more information contact Acromag online at www.acromag.com.
