SUNDSVALL, SWEDEN, 15 APRIL 2009. Bulgarian Air Charter officials Sofia, Bulgaria, selected the navAero t-BagC22 computer and display hardware as the Class 2 electronic flight bag (EFB) flight deck hardware for their entire McDonnell Douglas MD-82 fleet, becoming the second European MD-82 operator to select navAero to fulfill their EFB requirements.
The navAero Class 2 EFB solution provides a substantial retrofit cost savings through the deployment of t-BagC22 hardware technology, navAero officials say.
"Our decision to select the navAero Class 2 EFB solution was a strategic move," says Capt. Filip Mustakov, Bulgarian Air Charter chief executive officer. "The navAero technology will provide Bulgarian Air Charter with an affordable platform that we can deploy now to meet our business goals of significant cost savings and enhanced operational performance".
Installations of the EFB systems on Bulgarian Air Charter MD-82 fleet will begin during this spring as the EASA STC (EASA.IM.A.S.03005) for the t-BagC22 has already been issued.
