MIL-STD-1553 USB card for adding avionics databus capability to embedded systems, laptop, or tablet computers introduced by DDC
March 18, 2012
BOHEMIA, N.Y., 18 March 2012. Data Device Corp. (DDC) in Bohemia, N.Y., is introducing a small-form-factor two-channel MIL-STD-1553 USB printed circuit card for avionics and embedded computing applications in civil and military embedded systems. The USB card is for adding a 1553 bus interface to any embedded system, laptop, or tablet computer.
The BU-67113U board is designed with DDC’s Total-AceXtreme MIL-STD-1553 integrated components. Each channel can be configured in bus controller/monitor mode, or multi-remote-terminal mode.
The board provides a locking USB connection to enable designers to locate this card inside a system with a USB receptacle. Benefits include a common test and embedded API for rapid prototyping; and quick programming with BusTrACEr automated application C code generation.
