The cabling and networking test and measurement tool performs wire mapping by pin as well as by pair, and can help avionics and IT networking specialists save time on the job and locate wire map faults quickly and accurately by testing via pin and pair. The device detects split pairs and identifies the distance to fault.
The handheld test system also cal identify Ethernet and Power over Ethernet (PoE) issues, in addition to verifying Ethernet connectivity. It supports IPv6, IPv4 and PoE, and can report test results, as well as provide documentation on jobs undertaken using NaviTEK II to generate and store test results in standards-compliant XML format.
The device complies with the 802.1x standard, and can log onto networks secured by this protocol, avoiding unnecessary security complications and lengthy project delays, company officials say.
