Rolls-Royce and Aviall sign 10-year agreement, extend existing contract
DALLAS, 3 Aug. 2012. Aviall Services Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company, has entered into an exclusive, 10-year distribution agreement with Rolls-Royce for spare parts, modules, and tooling for the RR300 light helicopter engine.
The RR300 is in production for the R66 helicopter from Robinson Helicopter Company in Torrance, Calif.
The global agreement extends to 29 June 2022 and creates a new product line for Aviall, the Dallas-based provider of aftermarket supply chain management services for aerospace and defense. Aviall will distribute RR300 new spare parts and modules, exchange material, exchange modules, RR300 kits, tooling, and electronic publications.
In addition, the two companies extended an existing distribution agreement for the Rolls-Royce M250 engine program, which has been in effect since Jan. 2000 and now extends until 29 June 2022.
