The five-year IDIQ contract includes a range of services across aviation platforms supported by the Program Executive Office (PEO) Aviation, Army Materiel Command (AMC)/Aviation and Missile Command (AMCOM) including engineering development of aircraft modifications, application of modifications to the aircraft fleet, logistics support of systems and aircraft, and more. SSAI has teamed with BAE Systems to provide a flexible, timely, and cost-effective team with the facilities, personnel, and expertise to support the aircraft modifications and other support and services included under the contract. SSAI is establishing relationships with other Huntsville based subcontractors required to support performance of issued task orders.
“BAE Systems has shown our commitment to this contract by the investments we made last year in Albertville and Huntsville to enhance performance,” explains Floyd McConnell, BAE Systems vice president of integrated aviation solutions. “We look forward to partnering with SSAI to support the U.S. Army’s aviation mission which will increase employment in the local communities.”
The work will be performed by SSAI and BAE Systems personnel in SSAI’s new facility to be opened in Huntsville, Ala., as well as the BAE Systems hangar in Albertville, Ala., and offices in Huntsville, Ala.
