The latest in missile and munitions fuzing is topic of Air Force briefing to industry 25 and 26 June at Eglin AFB

EGLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Fla., 9 June 2013. U.S. Air Force weapons experts will brief industry June 25 and 26 on fuze technology research efforts for specific applications available for near-term transition, as well as on research programs in the mid- and far-terms.

EGLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Fla., 9 June 2013. U.S. Air Force weapons experts will brief industry June 25 and 26 on fuze technology research efforts for specific applications available for near-term transition, as well as on research programs in the mid- and far-terms.

The Fuze Technology Days event will enable government and industry to discuss research and development efforts in fuzing technology, and encourage collaboration among attendees. Briefings will be by experts in the Air Force Research Laboratory Munitions Directorate at Eglin Air Force Base, Fla.

Briefings will be at the University of Florida Research and Engineering Education Facility, 1350 N. Poquito Road, Shalimar, Fla., which is adjacent to Eglin Air Force Base.

The event also will provide one-on-one meetings between government and industry followed by government-only meetings. A detailed schedule of topics will be sent out prior to the event.

Air Force researchers say they hope for a broad cross-section of the fuze technology research and industry community to attend and participate.
