MADRID, Spain, 29 Aug. 2013. UAV Navigation and AvMap are collaborating to enhance the capabilities of the latest-generation inertial navigation and global positioning system (GPS) tools.

AvMap is integrating UAV Navigation’s Air Data, Attitude, and Heading Reference System (ADAHRS) with the newest AvMap Aeronautical GPS display.

UAV Navigation, a leading developer of flight control avionics and motion processing solutions, will supply its AH01 AHRS module for AvMap to bundle with its EKP V Aeronautical GPS.

The AH01 module turns the 7-inch display on the EKP V into a complete Electronic Flight Information System (EFIS), a spokesperson says.

AvMap has integrated the AH01 module into its A2 ADAHRS (Air Data and AHRS), which extends the functionality of the EKP V by bringing attitude and airspeed to the moving map and converting it into a centralized Glass Cockpit system for navigation and as the primary flight display.

The solution is well suited to the experimental, ultra-light, sport, and general aviation markets.
