Air Canada selects Premier Aviation to maintain Embraer E-190 aircraft fleet
TROIS-RIVIERES, Quebec, 17 June 2014. Officials at Air Canada sought a firm to maintain the airline’s fleet of 45 Embraer E-190 aircraft. They found their solution in Premier Aviation Overhaul Center Inc., issuing a five-year, exclusive contract to for airframe heavy maintenance support.
Premier Aviation staff will perform scheduled heavy maintenance at the company’s maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) facility at the Trois-Rivieres Airport in Quebec, Canada.
Premier Aviation is also performing "B" Checks (long overhaul) compared to only "N" Checks (partial overhaul) as originally defined when the work began. To date, 72 visits have been completed with work volumes increasing since May 2013, when Air Canada consolidated a second production line with Premier Aviation.
