Parker Aerospace to provide high-temperature fuel hoses and support for new Rolls-Royce engines for Boeing 787 aircraft
FARNBOROUGH, England, 16 July 2014. Rolls-Royce officials have selected Parker Aerospace to provide high-temperature fuel hoses and lifetime support on Trent 1000-TEN and Trent 1000 package C engines.
Rolls-Royce personnel are currently developing the company’s Trent 1000 C and Trent 1000-TEN engines for Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft.
“This long-term agreement with Rolls-Royce allows Parker to invest in the future and contributes to our growing global presence, supporting one of the world’s premier engine manufacturers,” says Parker Aerospace President Roger Sherrard. “Parker is proud to build on a history of success with Rolls-Royce on the Trent engine series. The Trent 1000 C and Trent 1000-TEN will be used by airline fleets around the world.”
Product design, manufacture, and support will be completed by Parker’s Stratoflex Products Division in Fort Worth, Texas.
The bill of materials (BOM) covers high-temperature hoses that channel fuel to the engine.
As part of the partnership, Parker will provide all-inclusive customer service and support on its components for the life of the engines. This approach is a continuing tradition for Parker on Rolls-Royce TotalCare programs and helps provide optimized, predictable cost over the long term.
The first Parker-supplied Trent 1000 -TEN components are scheduled for delivery to Rolls-Royce in late 2014.
Parker Aerospace supports many Rolls-Royce engine programs, including the RB211 and RB715; BR710 and BR710A2-20; Trent 500, 800, 1000, Trent XWB-84 and -97, and TP400; and LiftFan clutch actuation system.
