AirComPac debuts in-flight entertainment concept, signs agreements during Paris Air Show
PARIS, June 2015. AirCom Pacific (AirComPac), a provider of broadband connectivity to aircraft, in Fremont, Calif., is debuting a new in-flight entertainment (IFE) concept at Paris Air Show 2015. The company is also signing a service agreement with Hong Kong Airlines during the show, as well as a project development agreement to advance a new IFE system.
Director of Hong Kong Airlines Stanley Kan is signing an agreement with AirComPac CEO Mr. Jan Yung Lin at the AIRCOMPAC booth of the Paris Air Show. The general service agreement will feature the implementation plan for Hong Kong Express to offer True Broadband services on the airline’s short-haul aircraft.
The airline and the systems integrator will also sign a project development agreement to further development of the AirCinema system, which company officials call “a revolutionary IFE System that will offer passengers a true home theatre experience while in the air.”
AirCom Pacific has grown from a small high-tech start-up company into a global operation with hundreds of employees, able to both install aircraft with our entertainment systems and provide on-going, on-site customer support. “By reducing and eliminating the amount of wiring and cables needed in current on-board systems, and switching to an improved AirCom Pacific system, airlines will see a dramatic improvement in fuel consumption. Additionally, maintenance and repair becomes less costly, less time consuming and less intrusive with the practical and innovative AirCom Pacific system” officials say.
