SoCal Jets introduces three-day program for ADS-B Out upgrades
VAN NUYS, Calif. -- Avionics and aircraft maintenance services provider SoCal Jets has implemented a plan that will provide customers with three-day turnaround times on ADS-B Out installations.
"We solve the long lead time problem with an extensive review of all aircraft records and installations in advance, to ensure the system is FAA approved and ready with minimum downtime," said Robert Roig, SoCal Jets president and founder.
The company said it will use Universal Avionics SBAS-FMS units embedded with WAAS/LPV capabilities, combined with Universal Avionics' UniLInk IL-800/801 communications units, giving operators the ability to take advantage of FANS 1/A+ and CPDLC DCL.
"Universal Avionics is please to support SoCal Jets' program, helping to support a quick turn solution to meet the pending ADS-B Out mandate," said Robert Randall, senior manager of sales at UA. "The solution also provides the next stop for CPDLC DCL on the pathway to the next generation."
SoCal Jets primarily services Challenger, Citation, Falcon, Gulfstream, Hawker and Learjet business-class aircraft. Work will be performed at the company's location in Van Nuys.
