MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., - The UAV-85 and UAV-70 4-stroke gasoline engines based on the Fiala PROP. company motors have been modified by UAVOS resulting in greater reliability, efficiency and engine lifespan. The new series of unmanned aerial systems (UAS) engines have features of state-of-the-art air cooling and a two-nozzle fuel injection technology. A brushless generator-starter is installed on the engine.
These are the 4 - stroke engines with 2 valves per cylinder. The power plants are equipped with a microprocessor ignition for easy start and smooth running in all the modes of engine speed. UAVOS's injection system can be very precisely tuned with a lambda probe depending on the operating conditions. All characteristics obtained are confirmed by diagrams.
These power plants have excellent suitability for a given application, since its ceiling is on average 9800 ft (3000 m) above sea level and has a low fuel consumption.
UAV engines have been tested from sea level to 8200 ft (2500 m) altitude, and at temperatures ranging from -31°F to +122°F (-35°C to +50 °C). The modified engines have already been successfully integrated into UAVOS’s unmanned helicopters.
Aliaksei Stratsilatau, CEO and Lead Developer of UAVOS, said: "UAVOS is excited to work with Czech Fiala PROP. company to promote its technologies. The cooperation with the Company is a real opportunity to develop new capabilities and to pursue new business opportunities. This collaboration will be beneficial both to UAVOS and Fiala PROP. company."
