ITA Airways selects Safran wheels and carbon brakes for its Airbus A350 and A320neo fleets

The A350 equipment features a unique design that provides faster cooling for shorter TurnAround Times (TAT) and increased fleet availability.

ROME - ITA Airways, a new national Italian carrier in Rome, needed a wheel and break system for its A350 and A320neo fleet. They found their solution from Safran Landing Systems in London.

Safran Landing Systems A350 and A320neo equipment both provide a weight advantage compared to competing products, contributing to ITA Airways’ objective and commitment to minimize its environmental footprint and by saving more than 300 tons of CO2 emissions per year across its fleet. The A350 equipment features a unique design that provides faster cooling for shorter TurnAround Times (TAT) and increased fleet availability. Safran Landing Systems wheels and brakes are equipped on over 11,000 aircraft to date.
