BOGOTA, Colombia - Colombian airline Avianca in Bogota has partnered with Lufthansa Technik in Hamburg, Germany to implement the Digital Tech Ops Ecosystem, becoming the first airline in the Americas to fully integrate the platform’s core solutions. The collaboration is aimed at digitizing fleet records and streamlining technical operations.
Through the agreement, Avianca will utilize flydocs, a subsidiary of Lufthansa Technik, for digital records and asset management. The airline has also adopted AVIATAR’s predictive health analytics and transitioned to the AMOS cloud-based maintenance and engineering platform. Together, these systems are designed to enhance operational stability, boost aircraft availability, and reduce costs.
"Thanks to the integrated work offered by Lufthansa Technik’s Tech Ops Ecosystem, we now have a complete digital environment that provides a solution to the needs of an airline the size of Avianca, while allowing us to continue generating efficiencies, reducing our cost structure and optimizing both aircraft availability and value," said Francisco Lalinde, Avianca’s Vice President of Engineering and Maintenance.
The Digital Tech Ops Ecosystem integrates three pillars: AMOS for maintenance management, AVIATAR for data and analytics, and flydocs for digital records. Lufthansa Technik says the system provides end-to-end coverage of technical operations to support airlines in digital transformation efforts.
"We are committed to supporting Avianca every step of the way in advancing its digitalization efforts and optimizing technical operations," said Robin Johansson, Senior Director Sales for Latin America at Lufthansa Technik.
