Radiation-hardened board optical transceivers for satellite applications introduced by Reflex Photonics
KIRKLAND, Quebec – Reflex Photonics Inc. in Kirkland, Quebec is introducing the radiation-hardened SpaceABLE fiber-optic transceivers for board-to-board and payload-to-payload multigigabit connectivity in satellite applications from geostationary to low-Earth orbit.
Reflex Photonics is completing the space qualification of its SpaceABLE SL, LGA 4TRX, 12TX and 12RX optical transceivers, which were tested for single event effect and latchup, total non-ionizing dose, temperature cycling, and thermal vacuum.
The Space Qualification Program involves heavy ion beams testing; total ionizing and non-ionizing dose effect evaluation; outgassing evaluation; decompression test; vibration test; and 1,000 cycles of thermal vacuum and temperature cycling.
The Reflex Photonics SpaceABLE line offers satellite bandwidth as fast as 28 gigabits per second per lane and integrate as many as 24 lanes. For more information contact Reflex Photonics online at https://reflexphotonics.com.
