Rugged small-form-factor connectors for high-rate data applications introduced by Times Microwave
WALLINGFORD, Conn. – Times Microwave Systems, an Amphenol company in Wallingford, Conn., is introducing the Times Locking Miniature Push-On (TLMP) connectors for micro-miniature interfaces in high-rate data applications or board-to-board systems.
The TLMP connectors are a more rugged and durable designs than typical SMP/SMPM connectors. These miniature connectors operate to 60 GHz even under severe environments.
The small-form-factor connectors have interface O-Rings that provide environmental seals, and can be paired with improved electromagnetic interference shielding (105 dB vs. 65 dB).
The connectors have color indicators of positive locking to enable designers determine if they are installed properly. The coupling interface reveals a red band when unlocked and shows green when properly mated.

Green across the board means the locking claw successfully snapped into the secure groove, increasing the strength and durability over typical connectors. This feature maintains the connector's mate integrity even during extreme shock and vibration.
The TLMP's rugged small size enables designers to install package densities to 0.02 inches between centers. They are available on many popular military and space flight cables in configurations that include PTFlex 047; PhaseTrack 047 Semi-Rigid; PhaseTrack 086 Semi-Rigid; PhaseTrack 110; and MilTech.
