Vicor Corp. in Andover, Mass., is adding seven mid-power Micro DC-DC converters to the high-density 24-volts DC input family: 50-watt models at 3.3, 5, 12, 15, 24, 28, and 48 volt. The modules-which incorporate Vicor’s low-noise zero-current and zero-voltage switching (ZCS/ZVS)-are for power system applications in defense, aerospace, industrial, process control, distributed power, medical, ATE, and communications. The converters operate from 24-volts nominal input, with an input range of 18 to 36 volts and will operate down to 16 volts after startup. Efficiencies range up to 89 percent for the higher output voltages. The modules, which are RoHS compliant (with F or G pin option), measure 2.28 by 1.45 by 0.5 inches with a height above board of 0.43 inch. The new mid-power Micros are available in standard lead times. For more information contact Vicor online at www.vicorpower.com.
