FISO Technologies in Quebec is offering the FOP-MH fiber-optic pressure sensor for applications in extreme temperatures such as military and aerospace applications. This fiber-optic sensor is based on Fabry-Perot interferometry (EFPI) technology. These sensors also are for applications in which restricted space or minimal measurement interference is a consideration. The transducing technique used by fiber-optic sensors does not involve electrical signals, so they are essentially immune to electromagnetic interference. With an operating temperature range as hot as 450 degrees Celsius, the FOP-MH fiber-optic pressure sensor is compatible with all of FISO’s line of fiber-optic signal conditioners, allowing acquisition speed of up to 200 kHz. Precision of less 1 percent of full scale and resolution as high as 0.1 percent full scale, the FOP-MH is smaller than 1mm in diameter. For more information contact Fiso online at www.fiso.com.
