Clear Align earns U.S. patent for short-pulse laser in laser radar and laser range finding applications
EAGLEVILLE, Pa., 30 Nov. 2011. Military electro-optics and laser specialist Clear Align in Eagleville, Pa., has received a federal patent for the company's apparatus and method for generating short optical pulse laser beams for battlefield and other high-reliability laser applications. The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office patent number 8,064,491 for Clear Align describes a laser architecture with relatively short pulses and high optical power that resists the kind of shock and vibration typical in military operations.
