AKRON, Ohio, 7 June 2010.AKRON, Ohio, 7 June 2010 Summit Instruments Inc. in Akron, Ohio, is introducing single-axis accelerometer and rate gyro versions of the IdentiCal interchangeable sensors for managing calibration data in demanding environments.
IdentiCal interchangeable sensors have standardized offset and gain, which eliminate the need to enter new calibration data each time a subsequent sensor is installed. Accuracy results in 0.5 percent typical variance over temperature and time.
Accuracy analysis includes offset, gain, and nonlinearity. The sensors operate in temperatures from -40 to 85 degrees Celsius. Potted electronics is packaged in a tough, compact housing with a shielded Teflon 22 AWG cable.
Connector options include terminal tubes as well as a traditional D-sub connector. The sensors' approximately one inch cubical form allows mounting with the sensing axis oriented in any direction.
