TCS gains $25 million Department of Defense order for rapid response, associated communications systems

ANNAPOLIS, Md., 13 Sept. 2007. TeleCommunication Systems Inc. (TCS), provider of mission-critical wireless communications, has been awarded a five-year, $25 million indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract to support the Department of Defense (DoD). Under the contract terms, TCS will deliver secure next-generation SwiftLink communications products and services to support DoD initiatives.

(TCS), provider of mission-critical wireless communications, has been awarded a five-year, $25 million indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract to support the Department of Defense (DoD). Under the contract terms, TCS will deliver secure next-generation SwiftLink communications products and services to support DoD initiatives.

The initial task orders are valued at more than $6.2 million and the company's executives anticipate delivering the products purchased on those orders within 90 days.
