Target discs spring pin mating products for applications with little vertical space introduced by Mill-Max
OYSTER BAY, N.Y. – Mill-Max Manufacturing Corp. in Oyster Bay, N.Y., is introducing four series of spring pin mating products for applications where vertical space is at a premium.
These low-profile target discs are for surface-mount soldering and as the conductive mating surface for spring-loaded pins and connectors as well as test probes.
The discs typically are placed on solder-pasted circuit board pads and then subjected to reflow soldering. Once soldered, the terminals are ready to be reliable and durable contact points. Discs have flat surfaces on both sides.
The expanded series include the 1593-X, 1618-X, 1625-X, 1656-X SMT discs, with diameters of .093, .118, .125, and .156 inches respectively.

Each series for applications with little vertical space is precision machined from brass and comes standard with a hard gold finish with a nickel under-plate and is available in four heights from 0.025 to 0.055 inches in 0.01-inch increments.
Custom sizes come from Mill-Max's high-speed precision-machining processes. Other plating options, such as thicker gold or other materials, also are available.
